About the Role
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will work closely with our design, content, and project teams to build scalable, responsive, high-performance websites that meet business objectives and deliver excellent user experiences.
Responsibilities :
As a WordPress Developer, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Development & Implementation :-
• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins from scratch based on project needs.
• Convert design files (Figma, PSD, Adobe XD) into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress templates.
• Integrate WordPress sites with third-party APIs, tools, and services when required.
2. Performance, Security & Maintenance :-
• Optimize site performance, including load speed, responsiveness, and SEO-friendly code.
• Perform security hardening, plugin updates, theme updates, and routine website maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, functionality issues, and cross-browser inconsistencies.
3. Collaboration & Best Practices :-
• Work collaboratively with designers, marketers, content teams, and other developers.
• Follow coding standards, documentation best practices, and version control workflows (Git).
• Stay updated on WordPress core updates, web technologies, frameworks, and development trends.
Requirements
• 2+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Deep experience in creating custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
• Understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, actions, REST API, and core architecture.
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Comfortable using version control systems (like Git).
Preferred Experience :-
• Familiarity with popular page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery).
• Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce integration.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous custom theme/plugin work.
• Exposure to website optimization tools and SEO best practices.
